There are no instant solutions. It will take time to cover all these needs, and care to maintain help to the most vulnerable without creating dangerous aid dependency.

I just read your comment about the need for gender specific supplies in Haiti and immediately thought of a reusable product I use for menstruation. It is made of natural rubber and lasts for year. It does need to be washed, but each woman would only need one. I just posted a comment on the manufacturers website, suggesting they consider donating. You might be interested to contact them as well, or pass along an appropriate contact person on the ground who might coordinate. http://www.thekeeper.com/ Good luck with your good work. Thanks for the posting.

It's been a month since the earthquake - over 2 million
desperately need of food assistance. They have no homes, no
jobs, no food. The World Food Programme was there before the
quake, and they'll be there afterwards helping to rebuild lives.
If you want to help you should go to:
http://wfp.org/crisis/haiti or text FRIENDS to 90999 to make a
 $5 donation
