In an article published by the American Cancer Society on June 14th 2010, it says that over two million cancer survivors had to cancel receiving care for their needed medical treatment due to rising costs. This is horrible and we need a new way of doing healthcare..and soon!

Your article on life after breast cancer was excellent. Please may have permission to quote this on www.after-cancer.com please?

As a cancer patient, I started the website to tell other British patients that we don't have to be bullied by the NHS system, as I was lucky enough to get treatment in Europe and we could copy what French hospitals carry out. Our NHS has worst post-cancer survival rates in Europe.

Suddenly the site 'exploded', and I now get hits from 145 countries. Have found that I am not alone, and there are a lot of women who are as frustrated as I am with poor knowledge that we are given.

Your article answers what so many of us want to ask our medics, but are
frustrated by lack of time during the ten minute check-ups we get from a junior doctor twice a year - if we are lucky.
