Here’s a quick DocGurley public service announcement. Johnson & Johnson, one of the largest US manufacturers, has recalled a large quantity of childrens’ and infants’ liquid Tylenol that it manufactured from March to June. Apparently some of the base components didn’t meet quality standards and contained bacteria. Fortunately no bacteria have been detected in the final product but Johnson & Johnson is doing the right thing and recalling it all anyway.

You can find out more by either calling Johnson & Johnson’s McNeil’s consumer call center at 1-800-962-5357 or by visiting: http://www.tylenol.com/page.jhtml?idtylenol/news/subpchildinfantnews.inc where a full list of the 21 recalled products and their lot numbers can be seen.
