  • According to The China Study (a monumental study of the relationship of diet to health) by T.Colin Campbell,et al, MOST of the chronic disease plaguing wealthy nations _ e.g., obesity, diabetes, breast and prostate cancers, heart disease, osteoporosis, arthritis- could be VERY greatly reduced with (an enjoyable!) vegan diet. What with melamine, mercury and mad cow disease prions now also on stage, these dangerous toxins could be altogether avoided. Benefits to the ecosystem would also be great. I like the term, “locavore”, introduced in this article: one more way to reduce dependence on fossil fuels!
Should anyone reading this be interested in investigating an ACTUALLY HEALTHY way of eating, Drs John McDougall, Joel Fuhrman, Dean Ornish, have supportive websites.
