Long story . I have been testing positive for a urinary tract infection for a while. Almost a year now. Despite my many urine cultures and sensitivity tests, no matter how many antibiotics ive taken, it never has went away. I have none of the common signs of a u.t.I. Other than the white blood cells in my contaminated urine. My cooch, is not feeling the greatest tho. Ok, so the natural lubrication that comes out, seems like it still does, but I feel this god awful dryness and it makes me itch. My urine is positive for e.coli which is common they say. I am 27, this is my first and only infection I’ve everhad and it will not go away. My cooch has went thru arrange of different odors that do not smell like me. They haven’t been so foul that I wanna jump off a bridge or anything but have been mildly offensive at times.I’ve had spotting in between periods (which never happened before) when I have sex with my husband (which isn’t very often) my vagina feels so tight. I feel like agirl again.. Which I kinda like that bc it does the job faster… But now it’s ripping my poor skin so much that it bleeds horribly. I will get a mirror and I can see it just torn and bleeding. It hurts awful. My periods have been so awful that I vomit thru the first 2 or 3 days of my period.i literally cannot function. No work, no nothing.im bedridden and violently ill. Like I have the flu. I do have a cyst on my left ovary thatthe ultrasound lady saidi had… But all this whole time, I’ve been seeing my medical doctor who is a man. He has done a stone study, checked for abnormalities.. Eerything was good .. Just said I had an ovarian cyst about 2 cm long and a retroverted uterus. The lady said my uterus was flopped completely over. She said “poor thing”. We did a vaginal ultrasound and she said “do u have a tampon in?” and I said no…. And she said ok and kept fishing around in there. It got me thinking tho. Could that be what’s wrong w me all this time? I have had bad constipation bc of a certain medication im on and everytimei try to go to the bathroom, it looks like puss is sitting imperfect disgusting littl blobs in the bottom of the toilet, but it looks like discharge to me. Just looks like a lot fell out at once. Wtf is goin on w me? Is my va j j committing suicide? I have stuck my fingers inside to try to find it, but I don’t feel nothing in there… I hate sticking my fingers in the anyways but I have done it to check and had no luck. I’d say after 8 months, it’s probably disintegrated… Ewwwwwww….. Help… I made an appointment wmy obgyn for Monday… I feel disgusting.

Thank you, Dr. Gurley, so much for this very informative and funny video!! I especially love (and find it super helpful) how you went through the phases. Like another person said, I didn’t even know I had a “lost” tampon until it just decided to come out on its own (a few hours ago). Since then, I have been helplessly searching the web for advise/information on what happens next. I am feeling so blessed that I came across your website & video. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

One thing though- I am a bit puzzled that my husband didn’t noticed anything “different” when we had intercourse.

This is too funny and I think I may have a lost Tampon as well right now…I’m headed to the Doctor…I have had that smell and it awful, actually I am praying that that is what it is because if it’s not, I am worried that it could be something more serious. Video was lol so funny!!! I am not embarrased because after 3 C Sections and all the different surguries that I have had, everybody has seen everything anyway lol there’s nothing to hide…:) Thanks Doc

OMG, this was great! While I have thankfully never lost a tampon, I *HAVE* lost a condom – which was even more disgusting! Eww! It was up there for almost 4 days before I figured it out. *shudder* I thankfully figured out on my own that my own body would take care of it after a few days & got myself some STI testing after, just in case! Thank you so much for this informative (as well as humourous!) video!

You don’t know HOW I needed this humor. I called my OB/GYN office and was put on hold for about 6 minutes, felt like a fool. Thanks for putting this out there for us, that feel inept about our nether region orifices.

Due to this debacle, I realized that I am still limber with all of the yoga poses that I did to try to look in a mirror, remove it and search for it.

OMG…this HAS to be the funniest video ever!!! I too lost my tampon, not once but TWICE…The first time I was 20, then like clockwork, it happened again…20 years later…I am hoping when I am 60, it wont happen again….LOOOOOOOOOL. This is classic!! You have a great sense of humor. I guess looking at hoo has all day long, must make you laugh!!! Thanks for the laugh!!
