Haiku for Health

Doc Gurley 2008 Haiku: Cherry blossom bomb, Petal shrapnel pelts my hair, Trees shake with laughter.cherry_blossom.jpg

It’s that time of year. Easter, spring break, and cherry blossoms. Take a moment (really, it won’t take long!) to write a haiku in honor of something you enjoy. It’s a great way to both lift your mood and use the old noggin in a new and interesting way. As we all know, when it comes to your brainpower, it’s use it or lose it. Official Rules of Haiku: 1) the first line is 5 syllables, 2) the second line is 7 syllables, 3) the third line is five syllables, and 4) this is verbal finger-painting: anything you do is good–no nasty self-critical voices allowed.

Share the season! Post your celebratory haiku below.
