Chronicle that America, the country that has been waging a "war on drugs" against its own citizenry for 30-some years, is now seen to have irrevocably polluted its water supply with excreted drugs from its overuse and misuse of pharmaceuticals. So much for a drug-free America, huh? As for whether Big Pharma will voluntarily do anything to clean up the mess it has made – no shot. Big Pharma is strictly about profits, not public (or environmental) health. I would have thought a public health service doctor would have figured that out by now. Will Stockwin, Colfax, CA.
