“Physicians have excellent attentive and deductive skills and they can often parse data better than any computer program. But their skills lie with the individual patient encounter. Each patient is unique, each one a “case”. Isn’t that how you want your doctor to treat you? As unique, just as you are? So doctors ability to shift focus from the patient encounter to the greater scope has been deadened by years of work with individual patients. Indeed, Luis supposed there might have been a selection process. “
